George Street Primary is a welcoming and successful school.
We have an exciting opportunity for a full-time teaching assistant to join our highly motivated team on a fixed-term basis of two terms (from January 2025 to August 2025).
We are seeking someone who has experience in a primary school setting and is both enthusiastic and nurturing, be able to display excitement when things go to plan and resilience when they don't; recognising that we can create opportunities from the most unexpected situations.
You must have experience of supporting pupils with additional learning needs and emotional/behavioural needs, have experience in attending to personal care needs of children, show a creative, positive and flexible approach to working as part of a classroom team and work with an open mind to adapt and support children whose needs can change daily.
You must be able to contribute willingly to the daily running of the class (e.g. by taking part in lunch duties, supervising playtimes, welcoming children at the gate, dismissing at the end of day etc).
A sense of humour and a desire to make learning and time in school fun is essential.
