The Inclusion Department is looking to appoint a suitably experienced Additional Leaning Needs Advisory Teacher. The individual will have extensive experience of teaching and supporting learners with ALN, show dedication, resilience, and determination to ensure the best outcomes for children and young people with ALN. You will be organised, hardworking, and have excellent interpersonal skills. You will communicate clearly and be able to develop good working relationships with young children, their families, and a wide range of other professionals.

The role will include leading in collaboration with other Advisory Teachers on supporting schools to meet the needs of learners across the 0-25 agenda. They will be required to liaise with schools, parents, children and young people and broader stakeholders to ensure that provision and plans are child centred and robust in meeting the needs of the child. The individual will have knowledge and experience of delivering effective training programmes and upskilling staff on a range of ALN/School based developments and approaches.

The appointed individuals will work closely with a wide range of colleagues across the Inclusion Department. They will be required to work to a high level of accuracy and within the requirements of relevant legislation and specific deadlines. Knowledge and understanding of specific and highly specialist areas of ALN would be advantageous, however training will be provided.
