Permanent position
The Governing Body and Head Teacher of Portfield School seek to appoint a Business Manager to strategically manage the business and resources of this wonderful school.
Are you passionate about driving excellence in education and making a difference in lives of students. Portfield School is seeking a dynamic Schools Business Manager to join our leadership team and support the continued success of our specialist school.
Would you like to work in a school with a new primary phase building currently under construction, in one of the most beautiful areas of Wales?
As a School Business Manager, you will play a pivotal role in the strategic and operational management of our school ensuring efficient and effective use of resources. Woking closely with the Head teacher and Governing Body, some of your responsibilities will include: -
- Financial Management - Oversee the school's budget, forecasting, financial planning.
- HR and Recruitment - Ensure we are compliant with all HR policies.
- Premises Management/Health and Safety - To oversee the schools site team and work with them closely to ensure we are compliant in all areas.
- Administration - To oversee the admin team and work closely with them to ensure the smooth running of the school.
- Income generation
- The successful candidate will also work closely with the Friends of Portfield and be responsible for overseeing the financial management of the charity shop located in Haverfordwest.
We are looking for a proactive and organised candidate with a proven track record of Business management.
The post holder will: -
- Have relevant qualifications in business management, finance or equivalent experience.
- Have strong leadership and communication skills.
- Be able to foster a learning environment that is safe, inclusive and enjoyable.
- Have the ability to manage priorities and deliver to deadlines.
- Be a strong team player and work in collaboration with others.
