Following promotion to headship, an exciting opportunity has arisen to join our creative and committed team as Deputy Headteacher. The pupils, staff and the governing body are seeking to appoint an outstanding teacher and leader who is passionate, enthusiastic, and exceptionally motivated, to join a supportive, knowledgeable, and innovative team.

The successful candidate will:

• be an excellent classroom practitioner with experience across the whole of the primary phase;
• have strong strategic leadership skills and a commitment to take a leading role in maintaining high standards of teaching and learning, enabling every child to reach their full potential;
• have a thorough knowledge of the Curriculum for Wales, innovative principles of teaching, learning and assessment approaches, methods and techniques;
• take a lead in major developmental areas throughout the school like assessment, in addition to other responsibilities;
• have a high level of digital competency;
• have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, able to motivate and inspire others to maintain our excellent shared vision, culture and positive ethos;
• demonstrate patience, kindness, and empathy to help others including pupils, staff, governors, parents, and the local community.
• be a leader with an in depth understanding of the approaches to self-evaluation and school improvement.
• have the necessary skills to deputise for the headteacher
• have a strength of character and a sense of humour that motivates pupils and staff.
• aspire to be a Headteacher.
