Ysgol Saron is a Welsh medium primary school. The school is located in the centre of the village of Saron, near Ammanford. It provides education for pupils in the 4 - 11 year old age range. The school received Excellent in all areas of its last inspection in 2017.

F ollowing the retirement of the current Headteacher, the Governors are seeking to appoint an inspirational, enthusiastic, committed and dynamic practitioner to continue the work that has already been done and to further raise the educational opportunities and standards for all our pupils.

We are looking for someone who has:
  • A clear vision of educational excellence with enthusiasm and dedication for improving pupils' achievements
  • A commitment to continuous improvement, building on the existing strengths of the school while providing challenges to further develop the experience and expertise of both staff and pupils
  • The ability to inspire, motivate and enthuse pupils and staff
  • High expectations of pupil progress, attainment and behaviour, whilst ensuring that pupil interests and wellbeing are kept at the heart of the school
  • First-rate interpersonal skills and the ability to engage effectively with children, parents, staff and governors through the medium of both Welsh and English.
