Caradog Primary School is a warm and welcoming school situated in the heart of Aberdare. We currently have 188 pupils on roll aged between 3 and 11.
The Governing Body is seeking to appoint a Class Teacher with ALNCo to work with our Senior Leadership Team and staff team. We are looking for an enthusiastic, passionate and committed ALNCo who is well-organised, caring and will go the extra mile to support pupils, parents and staff.
The successful candidate will:-
- Lead ALN within the school – planning strategically for ALN pupils’ support, inclusion, wellbeing and standards
- Promote and develop inclusive learning and teaching throughout the school
- Perform a key role on the SLT, showing leadership aspiration, reporting to them and the governors on ALN progress and standards across the school
- have shared accountability for the performance of all staff relating to and including the performance of vulnerable/ALN pupils across the school.
- Ensure that the identified learning needs of all pupils are provided for in the classroom through a tailored intervention programme.
- Develop and coordinate targeted programmes of support for ALN pupils
- Ensure a successful graduated support programme exists across the school
- Disseminate and role model good practice in inclusion in their own classroom and across the school
- Demonstrate their own excellent classroom practice and commitment to high standards and expectations for all learners
- Create an engaging learning environment
- Be able to work as part of a successful team and manage other adults within the classroom and across the school
- Be committed to raising standards
- Have high expectations of themselves and of children
- Be an excellent communicator
- An inclusive and welcoming school community
- Amazing children who are enthusiastic about their learning
