Role Title: Finance Officer (Sales)
Location: Northop Campus
Contract Type: Permanent/Full Time
Salary: £25,437 - £26,077
We are currently recruiting for a Finance Officer - Sales Ledger to join our busy Finance team based at our Northop site. As the Finance Officer you will be responsible for ensuring all payments made to the college are posted and allocated accurately in a timely manner. Other responsibilities include debt collection and undertaking the day to day procedures associated with the maintenance of college financial systems.
Monitoring financial records to ensure compliance with financial regulations and procedures, you will reconcile and produce appropriate financial statements and reports and liaise with college staff and external parties as necessary. You will assist with the development of financial procedures and systems and undertake general office administration duties in support of the Finance function.
So if you possess a pass (Grade C or above) at GCSE level in English and Maths along with an AAT Intermediate level or equivalent financial qualification, then this could be the perfect opportunity for you!
Experience is not essential - however we do ask that you have a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, are able to use MS Word and Excel at intermediate level, and have excellent problem solving skills giving you the ability to make low level financial decisions within the constraints of financial procedures and regulations. You'll also need to be pro-active and self-motivated, have a degree of tenacity in order to complete tasks on time and have a scrupulous level of attention to detail, giving you the ability to cross check data with accuracy.
Essential Requirements
- Possesses a pass (Grade C or above) at GCSE level in English and Maths
- Possesses AAT Intermediate level/equivalent financial qualification or relevant experience
- A good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, able to use MS Word to and Excel to Intermediate level and competent with Google.
- Able to problem solve and make own low-level financial decisions within the constraints of Financial procedures and regulations
- Scrupulous level of attention to detail and the ability to cross-check data with accuracy
- Has a degree of tenacity in order to complete tasks on time
Welsh language skills are desirable for this position.
