We are looking for an enthusiastic person to join the ALN/Inclusion Primary Team on secondment or fixed term basis to cover a maternity leave within the Team.
You will be joining a well-established and supportive team who are committed to inclusive education and the support of pupils with ALN.
We are a busy team supporting schools in their statutory responsibilities, and ensuring that all children are transferred to the new ALN system by August 2025. The team is part of a multi-disciplinary approach in the way support is offered to schools.
We act as the designated officer for identified children by preparing and presenting cases to the Multi-agency Moderation Panel, and also by preparing and monitoring LA IDPs.
We play a key role in responding to parents'/carers' enquiries, and being involved in avoiding and resolving disagreements within designated schools.
We support schools in their correct use of the Eclipse system, helping them to maintain accurate and up to date records for children with ALN.
The Team works closely with Eclipse Support to develop and improve the Eclipse system.
You will be expected to contribute to team meetings, ALNCo Forums, Eclipse Development as well as coordinating and leading regular ALNCo Cluster Forums.
Due to the nature of the post the successful candidate will be subject to a disclosure by the Disclosure and Barring Service. It is a requirement that successful candidate will need to register with the Education Workforce Council prior to commencing employment.
