In our February 2024 Inspection, Estyn stated that "Staff at Dylan Thomas Community School offer pupils a consistently high quality of Care, Support & Guidance. The school has an inclusive family feel and there are strong relationships between pupils and staff" The successful candidate will add to this and will also benefit from a strong, supportive staff wellbeing programme.

Dylan Thomas is a rapidly growing and successful school with committed staff which has seen a dramatic increase in pupil numbers and significant investment in facilities over the last three years. The school is oversubscribed in nearly all year groups. We have high expectations of all members of our school community with an emphasis on strong relationships and inclusivity.

Due to the retirement of the current post holder, Governors are seeking to appoint a talented, enthusiastic and committed teacher to teach in one three of the Humanity disciplines of History, Geography or Religious Studies across KS3 & KS4. The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate excellent classroom management skills, innovative teaching and strong team leading qualities to continue to build on the department's success
