Overall job purpose
To provide direct service and assistance to the customer in an efficient and customer friendly manner, in accordance with the policies of the Isle of Anglesey County Council.
To maintain good order of the library's stock and to assist in the maintenance of standard administrative duties and routines
The post holder will promote, actively support and signpost our citizens to the availability of service provided by both the Council and partner organisations.
• To provide direct service and assistance to customers, to include but not limited to: registration of members, loan and receipt of items, dealing with stock requests and overdue items, keep items in order, assist customers to select and find relevant items or information.
• To ensure a high level of customer care ensuring a welcoming, pleasant and well-kept
environment for customers. This may be in person, over the phone, through email or the web or by other means. Keeping accurate record of any messages and referring customers to other appropriate sources when necessary.
• To keep the library's resources in good order to ensure efficient use by the customer. Check the condition of stock and action appropriately and circulate stock in line with stock rotation practices.
