The Governing Body are seeking to appoint an ambitious, dynamic and visionary Deputy Headteacher to join the school at the start of an exciting new chapter as it becomes the flagship Welsh medium school in Montgomeryshire, North Powys. This school is in the market town of Llanfair Caereinion, in a beautiful rural area of Mid Wales, eight miles from
Welshpool and within an hour's drive from Aberystwyth. Estyn, in its core report, April 2024, states that Ysgol Bro Caereinion 'is a welcoming school
community where pupils are treated with respect. Nearly all pupils behave very well in lessons and around the school buildings. They engage positively in their learning'. This is a unique opportunity to help shape the school's future as it embarks on its journey along the Welsh language continuum, promoting bilingual excellence and enriching the lives
of our students and community. If you are passionate about innovative education, committed to nurturing a thriving Welsh-speaking environment, and eager to inspire the next generation of confident, bilingual learners, we would love to hear from you. The school is looking for an exceptional individual of the highest calibre and capability who will:
• bring enthusiasm, commitment, innovative thinking, and a proven track record to help drive forward the vision and ambitions of Ysgol Bro Caereinion as an all age Welsh medium school
• work with the Headteacher and Senior Leadership Team to provide strong,
effective, and strategic leadership for the school aligned to its ambitious vision, as it continues a journey of transformation and change
• be an effective communicator, able to lead, motivate and support staff and
pupils alike to give of their best in all that they do
• lead on teaching, learning and skills development - as well as curriculum
development and professional learning - to inspire and promote teaching that delivers exceptional learning experiences of the highest quality and standards across the school
• encourage and support pupils to be independent and ambitious learners,
creating an environment which inspires each pupil to achieve their full potential in all aspects of their learning and development throughout the school.
• foster and maintain close partnership working with all stakeholders and the
community- including pupils, staff, parents, governors, cluster schools, business, and other relevant organisations - for the benefit of the school and pupils
• demonstrate a commitment to achieving Ysgol Bro Caereinion's Welsh language vision
This is an advertisement for the post of Deputy Headteacher where the ability to communicate fluently in both Welsh and English is essential.
