Early Help and Wellbeing Advisory Teacher

M2 - U3 - £32,433, £49,944

Term Time 32.5 hours per week

We are looking for a candidate with experience of working with people with young people with social communication needs to join us, to work term time, with the Sensory and Early Help Team. This team sits within the wider Inclusion Department in the Directorate for Children and Schools. The team seek to deliver measurably improved outcomes for children and young people with Additional Learning Needs (ALN) and their families.

You will advise schools with support strategies and approaches for children who may have social communication needs. This will involve carrying out observations and writing reports for schools and families. You will deliver support in the school setting and contribute to: removing barriers to learning, increased participation in positive activities, and reduced levels of anxiety. You will be responsible, monitoring and supporting young people with social communication needs on pastoral support plans and attending Person centred Planning and review meetings. We value new ideas along with the previous experiences staff may bring in order to provide a modern and progressive service to our children, families and schools.
