Temporary Supervisory Assistant (Maternity Cover)
Hours: 3 per week - Term Time only (36 mins a day)
Salary: Grade 2 (£24,027 x 7.12%)
Start Date: Monday 7th June 2025
The Governing Body wishes to appoint a Temporary Supervisory Assistant to cover maternity leave and to complement our existing team.
Perthcelyn Community Primary School is situated in Perthcelyn, Mountain Ash. We currently have 128 pupils on roll aged between 3 and 11 (which include 19 pupils who access our two ASD Learning Support Classes).
Central to everything we do at Perthcelyn, is a commitment to ensuring that every day, we provide opportunities for every child to thrive, grow and succeed.
The successful candidate will need to:
- Be comfortable with children and be able to support them on a daily basis.
- Have patience and empathy when supporting our children
- Have excellent people skills
- A willingness to work hard
- Supervising children in the Dining Hall, in the playground and when it is raining, in the classroom.
- Monitoring and managing children’s behaviour (in line with the school’s behaviour policy)
- Following the school Safeguarding policy and procedures
- Assisting the children with any needs they have.
- Amazing pupils, with excellent behaviour and attitudes to learning.
- A supportive, committed and inclusive team.
- A friendly and welcoming school community of staff, pupils, parents and governors
- A commitment to continued staff professional development and wellbeing.
