About the Role:
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Specialist Centre Teacher to join our dedicated team. As a Specialist Centre Teacher, you will be responsible for:
• Delivering high-quality, individualised education to our autistic specialist
centre learners, many with a range of other ALN needs.
• Nurturing a dedicated safe space in school that enhances the mainstream
experience and social communication needs of our specialist centre learners.
• Developing and implementing effective teaching strategies and plans to
support progress by our specialist centre learners, both within the centre and
in the wider school.
• Collaborating with other relevant professionals and external agencies to
support our specialist centre learners.
• Supporting our specialist centre young people and their families to secure the best possible outcomes for them.
• Contribute to the overall improvement of the school's ALN provision.
Requirements:
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Experience of teaching pupils with ALN.
• Deep knowledge and understanding of Autistic Spectrum Condition in young
people
• Strong understanding of Welsh ALN legislation and best practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Commitment to continuous professional development.
