The postholder would also be required to support the Lead ALN Performance Specialist and other ALNIT colleagues by providing advice to school leaders and staff on requirements, policies, and procedures related to ALN, including the development and review of Individual Development Plans (IDPs) and developing support pathways for transition. The role will also include the opportunity to design, deliver, and evaluate high-quality training for school staff on ALN-related topics, with a focus on best practice for identification, assessment, and support of learners with ALN.

The post advertised above is part funded by Welsh Government until March 2026, therefore the role is being advertised initially as a secondment opportunity within Swansea Local Authority. Beyond this date a continuation of this post will be subject to funding.
