Charles Williams Church in Wales Primary School is seeking to appoint a Leader of Teaching and Learning with a specialism in Languages, Literacy and Communication – a leadership role for an excellent practitioner who has a passion for developing our pupils' oracy, reading and writing skills.

We are looking for a primary teacher who:
- is a forward-thinking, excellent practitioner;
- is enthusiastic, motivated, caring and able to nurture children to achieve their potential;
- is passionate about providing inspiring, authentic and challenging learning opportunities for all pupils, which enhances their literacy, numeracy, and digital skills across the curriculum;
- is committed to supporting our children to know and understand themselves as learners;
- is able to contribute to our curriculum design based on the Curriculum for Wales,
- is a committed team player and role model with proven ability to lead and empower children and colleagues;
- is able to demonstrate and promote excellence, equality and high expectations of achievement and behaviour;
- is committed to their own professional learning and development;
- is committed to supporting the school’s Christian values;
- is able to build a relationship of mutual respect with the pupils, parents, staff, governors, the Diocese of Monmouth and the Charles Williams Trust, and
- is able to bring passion, energy, enthusiasm and be driven to fulfil the role to the best of their ability.

The appointment process will involve a lesson observation at the candidate's own school, following which, successful candidates will be invited to attend an interview with the Headteacher and Governing Body.

THIS POST REQUIRES YOU TO BE REGISTERED WITH THE EWC.
This position is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (1974) and is subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service Check (DBS).
