We are at a pivotal moment in our school's journey, introducing a new leadership structure designed to enhance our provision and ensure the best possible outcomes for our learners. As part of this transformation, we are seeking three dynamic Deputy Headteachers to join our senior leadership team. This is an exciting time for our school as we strengthen our provision, develop our satellite units, and expand our outreach programme across Pembrokeshire. As the county's only special school, we are committed to sharing our outstanding practice and ensuring the best possible education for all learners with additional needs.

To drive this vision forward, we are seeking three dynamic and ambitious Deputy Headteachers to join our senior leadership team.

Each Deputy Headteacher will have a dual leadership role:

1. Day-to-day leadership and management of a specific phase:
  • Lower School
  • Middle School
  • Upper School
2. Whole-school strategic leadership of one key area:
  • Safeguarding, Behaviour and pupil support intervention- Ensuring the highest standards of pupil safety, well-being, and behaviour support.
  • Teaching & Learning / Curriculum/CPD - Leading innovative and inclusive curriculum development in line with the Curriculum for Wales.
  • Data & Assessment - Driving school improvement through effective data analysis and assessment strategies.
Expanding Our Impact

In addition to their core roles, our Deputy Headteachers will play a key role in:
  • Managing and developing our two satellite units, ensuring they are fully integrated into the school's vision and values.
  • Building our outreach programme, sharing our expertise with local provision across the county.

What are we looking for in you?

We are seeking passionate and experienced leaders who:
  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience of Additional Learning Needs.
  • Have proven leadership experience in school improvement, staff development, and phase leadership.
  • Possess expertise in one of the three whole-school leadership areas (Safeguarding & Behaviour, Teaching & Learning/Curriculum, or Data & Assessment).
  • Are strong communicators, problem-solvers, and team players who can inspire and develop others.
