We want to support Swansea schools' leaders to drive improvement by:
  • developing a high quality education profession;
  • working collaboratively to raise standards;
  • providing a curriculum to focus on excellence, well-being & equity; and
  • supporting robust evaluation within a self-improving system.

We are now seeking to recruit a highly successful professional to join our committed team of school improvement advisers. Candidates should be secondary headteachers/senior leaders from successful schools and/or have recent demonstrable success as an education improvement professional in the secondary phase.

The successful candidate will fulfil the role of school improvement adviser for schools in Swansea and will work closely with regional partners to:
  • contribute to Swansea Council's support to school leaders and governing bodies, and
  • work effectively with the regional partnership and other key delivery partners in developing support for professional learning, including leadership development and ongoing curriculum review

The post will commence on 1 September 2025 and will be a permanent post.
