The Headteacher and Governing Body of Pentre'r Graig Primary School are seeking to appoint an excellent classroom practitioner to join our hardworking team from September 2025.

Pentre'r Graig Primary is a school where all children are given every opportunity to fulfil their potential in a safe, stimulating and nurturing environment. We are supported by our excellent, committed Governing Body and a dedicated, enthusiastic and talented team of staff who work hard to ensure our pupils receive the best possible start in life.

The successful candidate will:
  • Be an excellent classroom practitioner who understands how children learn.
  • Have high expectations for the learning, behaviour and care of all pupils
  • Have an excellent understanding of the current and developing Curriculum for Wales.
  • Have a clear understanding of developing learner voice, pupil-led learning and improving wellbeing
  • Be innovative and creative in their approach to teaching and learning.
  • Have a clear understanding of formative and summative assessments and tracking children's progress.
  • Be someone who is committed, hard-working and keen to offer to the wider life of the school, including afterschool clubs and parental workshops
  • Have effective ICT and Welsh skills and can use these to enhance learning
  • Be well organised and highly motivated
  • Be someone who works extremely well as part of a team
  • Have good organisational, interpersonal and communication skills, with a sense of humour
  • Support senior leaders by developing workshops for parents/carers relevant to school priorities
  • Continue to build upon Pentre'r Graig 's approach to developing Cynefin, including extending its strong links with the community
