What we need:Cardiff and Vale College are looking for a number of Enrolment Support Assistants to support the annual Summer enrolment of up to 5,000 learners. To achieve this, we need to recruit a number of Enrolment Support Assistants who will support our Reception, Recruitment and Admissions teams with the following:
- Direct learner enrolment on one of our main enrolment desks
- Creation of Student ID Badges
- Provide advice and guidance to prospective learners on Courses, Student Finance and other admission support
- Meet & Greet of prospective learners
- Support our Reception teams by providing Reception support as well as incoming calls, email queries and webchats
- Complete relevant administrative tasks associated with the enrolment process
Person Specification:
Our Enrolment Support Assistants will love the challenge of successfully enrolling large volumes of learners in a fast-paced environment. Speed and efficiency are the key but you'll be supported by our fantastic Student Services team.
Whilst the ability to speak Welsh is not essential for the role, we would love to hear from candidates who are fluent and can engage with learners through the medium of Welsh.
You will need to have excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel and be comfortable in picking up new IT systems quickly. Full training will be provided in the first few days of the assignment. You'll have excellent literacy and numeracy skills.
You will be a strong communicator and an excellent representative for the college as you'll be one of the first interactions our new learners will have with us and you'll be comfortable with answering their various queries and signposting them in the direction of the right personnel for the more specialist queries.
All candidates must be fully available for the training days at the beginning of the placement and the primary enrolment days on the 21 st & 22nd August.
You will have full availability between 11th August 2025 and 26th September 2025. Whilst we can honour any pre-booked medical or family appointments we would be unable to accommodate any pre-booked holidays during this period. We operate on a shift basis with some shifts beginning at 8am and some ending at 8pm.
How to apply:
Applications are to be made using the Cardiff and Vale College application form only. The college welcomes applications in Welsh. Applications submitted in Welsh will not be treated less favourably than an application in English. If we invite you to interview, let us know if you would like us to conduct the interview and assessment process in Welsh.
The closing date for completed applications is 5 th May 2025 at 11:59pm
