Cardiff and Vale College is on the lookout for a dynamic Essential Skills Lecturer to join our high-performing Automotive Department. Based at our cutting-edge Automotive Centre on Dumballs Road, this is your chance to inspire the next generation of automotive professionals..

Responsibilities include:
  • Undertaking classroom teaching, preparation and marking;
  • Undertaking all organisational and administrative work associated with the above;
  • Liaising and communicating effectively with relevant course tutors, ensuring accuracy of qualification registration and ensuring claims are submitted in accordance with College policies and procedures
  • Undertaking relevant continuous professional development and training;
  • Referring learners to support services within the college; i.e., learning coaches, wellbeing officers and counsellors;
  • Participating in the annual staff appraisal;
  • Assisting in monitoring and tracking of student progress and entitlement to additional learning (ALN) support;
  • Welsh language skills are not essential but would be desirable for this role.
