The Headteacher and Governing Body of St Joseph's Roman Catholic Primary School are seeking an innovative teacher with responsibility for ALN to join the Senior Leadership Team.
St. Joseph's is a thriving, friendly school dedicated to the success of its children. We provide full-time education, currently for 210 pupils between the ages of 4 and 11 years. We are a Roman Catholic, Voluntary Aided school in the trusteeship of the Archdiocese of Cardiff.
This is a permanent, full-time post to start in September 2025
Governors are committed to appointing a teacher/ALNCO who:
• Is a practicing Catholic or is sympathetic and supportive of our Catholic ethos
• Is willing to take an active role in the life and mission of the school
• Is an experienced practitioner
• Can use their experience of the ALN bill to support our children and families.
• Has a proven record of excellent classroom practice with delivering high quality learning for vulnerable pupils and pupils with additional learning needs
• Is joyful and positive with a good sense of humour
• Is excited by learning and keen to make a positive difference
• Inspires and motivates our staff and children whilst making them feel valued and supported
• Is an effective communicator who leads by example
• Will promote and celebrate the achievements of all our children
• Is committed to build on existing relationships with parents, the Parish, the Diocese, Local Authority and wider community whilst fostering new relationships
