The Hwyl a Bwyd / Food and Fun scheme is a Welsh Government scheme put in place 5 years ago to provide a nutritional breakfast and lunch for children who would otherwise go without in the school holidays.

Following the end of the Free School Meal allowance holiday payment during Covid Welsh Government publicise this scheme as one of the measure to mitigate the "cost of living crisis".

The Hwyl a Bwyd - Food and Fun scheme is a scheme that operated for at least 12 days in the school summer holidays, based on a school site for children who would otherwise go without proper food and nutrition in the school holidays. It has been running this year in the following schools:-

Ysgol Bab Mochdre
Ysgol Bab Llanfairfechan
Ysgol Y Foryd
Ysgol Bro Gwydir
Ysgol Eirias
Ysgol Bryn Elian
