Work base: Canolfan Iaith Conwy - Dolgarrog

Conwy's Education Service is seeking a Teaching Assistant to provide support to learners in Conwy's Canolfan Iaith. This is an essential role in supporting and ensuring the best quality of education for all children and young people who are undertaking the Welsh immersion programme in Conwy. This programme is for latecomers to Conwy's Welsh Medium primary schools.

The Canolfan Iaith provides intensive language support programmes to enable children to continue their education through the medium of Welsh in their local school. The provision at the Canolfan Iaith is integral to Conwy's WESP and the successful educational progress of learners in Conwy.

We are looking for an enthusiastic practitioner who can support the teaching of Welsh in this specialist environment.

You are required to be fluent and able to support the teaching of Welsh language skills at all levels and skill areas (particularly reading, writing and speaking) and be proficient in both Welsh and English.

Due to the nature of the post the successful candidates will be subject to a disclosure by the Disclosure and Barring Service. It is a requirement that successful candidate will need to register with the Education Workforce Council prior to commencing employment
