Role Title: Positive Behaviour Coach
Location: Deeside (with travel to other sites)
Contract Type: 12 month Fixed Term
Salary: £28,318 - £29,935
Are you passionate about promoting positive behaviour approaches in education settings? Do you have a strong background in behaviour support? Are you dedicated to creating a culture of kindness for young people? If so, we want to hear from you!
This new role will play a vital role in ensuring Coleg Cambria remains a safe, kind and respectful place for all learners. You will be visible across the different college sites promoting kindness and positive approaches to behaviour amongst learners. This is a varied role, which will include: responding to reports of harassment amongst learners, running workshops for learners on equality and respect, delivering staff training on managing challenging behaviour, creating resources on restorative justice and positive behaviour approaches, mentoring learners through the disciplinary process.
Essential Requirements
- Level 3 in sociology, psychology, health and social care, youth work or another relevant area
- Level 2 or above in Literacy and Numeracy
- Experience of working with people that have behavioural challenges
- Understanding and experience of positive approaches to behaviour and trauma informed practices
- Knowledge of equality, diversity and inclusion and its application working with people
- Understanding of the issues that face young people today
- Ability to work in a person centred way, positively support young people, and promote a culture of kindness
