Bishop Vaughan Catholic School is a very successful, diverse and popular secondary school Following a successful recent Estyn inspection, Governors are seeking applications from a well-qualified teacher for the post of Head of History to lead our vibrant History department. Our high performing 11-18 school is placed amongst the Top Ten highest performing state schools in Wales by the Sunday Times Parent Power Guide 2025. Our recent Estyn inspection noted:

The successful applicant will be capable of teaching across the History curriculum up to and the post will include teaching at key stage 5. The post will commence on the 1st September 2025 or as soon as possible thereafter.

You must be capable of motivating and inspiring students of all abilities, and be ready to work collaboratively to enhance our culture of high expectations and attainment. There is a clear emphasis in our school on research informed pedagogy and the highest standards of leadership.
