ALN Services in Conwy are going through a number of changes and developments, and we are keen to strengthen the team with an enthusiastic, passionate and innovative Secondary ALN/Inclusion Teacher to support the developments and vision of the Authority.
We are committed to inclusive philosophy and practise across a range of mainstream and specialist settings. We work closely with a number of agencies and services and the team has a strategic position in working with and developing ALN services and provision in Conwy.
You will be joining a well-established and supportive team who are committed to inclusive education and the support of pupils with ALN.
We are committed to developing the specialist skills and knowledge of our ALN/Inclusion Teachers and are keen for the Service to continue to lead on inclusive practise and the monitoring and evaluation of pupils with additional learning needs.
The team are part of a multi-disciplinary approach in supporting schools to implement the changes inherent in the new ALN and Education Tribunal Act. The post holder will assist with the duties of the team across Secondary schools, Independent school settings and Post 16, and in accordance with the new legislation and the authority's vision for inclusion. They will also assist with duties in respect of learners who are electively home educated.
