The Headteacher and Governing Body of Portmead Primary School, are looking to appoint a temporary Level 2 teaching assistant to start 1 September 2025 and to be reviewed in July 2026. Subject to term time only adjustment if appointment date is after the start of the academic year.

- Can support pupils in the classroom and help them with their learning
- Is happy to lend a hand to the class teacher with preparing resources, setting up activities, and helping to assess how pupils are doing
- Can take on practical tasks that help keep the school running smoothly
- Works well as part of a team and gets along with others
- Has good communication skills and can build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents
- Has confident reading, writing, and number skills
- Believes in using a restorative approach when it comes to behaviour
- Feels comfortable supporting pupils with Additional Learning Needs or those who are learning English as an additional language
- Has a positive, can-do attitude and enjoys being part of a supportive team
- Is keen to get involved in the wider life of the school
