Lecturer in Health and Social Care and Child Care, Part Time Hourly Paid

We are seeking to appoint a lecturer to deliver key aspects of both the Health and Social Care and Child Care qualifications such as safeguarding, child development, the principles and values of working in health and social care/ child care sector, health and safety; professional practice for the health and social care worker.The role will allow you to develop as a lecturer in working for the two departments, under the guidance and support of both the programme manager and team leaders. Your duties would include the preparation and delivery of taught sessions to learners; along with administration and assessment. We encourage the use of practical and active teaching and learning methodologies, to bring the learning to life. You will be able to apply your knowledge and experience from your experiences to the teaching and learning delivered. This will ensure learners are gaining an in-depth understanding of the sectors.
Our ideal candidate would have previous teaching and industry experience in the sectors. However, we also welcome those looking to take their first steps into teaching.

Holiday Entitlement
There will be an entitlement to pro rata paid holiday in each academic year (1st September to 31st August), which includes pro-rata entitlement of 8 Bank and Public Holidays normally observed in Wales and a pro-rata entitlement of up to 5 efficiency days (please note this can change annually). Annual leave is derived from a pro rata full time equivalent entitlement of 46 days which is included in the hourly rate paid.
Working Pattern
Up to 20 hours per week, Mon - Fri, day work. Work pattern to be agreed dependant on availability. Subject & Level of delivery are based on qualifications and experience
