DescriptionColeg Ceredigion is seeking an ambitious and visionary individual ready to join our institution as Head of Curriculum. Across our Cardigan and Aberystwyth campuses, we offer specialised programs in Animal Care, Art and Design, Automotive Engineering, Business and Public Services, Catering & Hospitality, Childcare, Computing, Construction, ESOL, Furniture Design and Making, Hair and Beauty, Health, ILS, Media and Performing Arts.
We work with Further Education learners, Work Based Learning apprentices and school link pupils from local schools.

Key Responsibilities
- To provide leadership in a designated Curriculum Area, ensuring a successful and enjoyable learning experience for all learners;
- To assist the Assistant Director in achieving the highest possible standards in teaching and learning across the Curriculum;
- To be accountable for the highest standards of learner outcomes within a designated Curriculum Area and ensure the effective implementation of quality assurance and improvement processes;
- To plan, manage and evaluate an efficient, effective and financially viable Curriculum that meets the needs of learners and provides progression into higher levels of learning, employment or self-employment;
- To contribute to initiatives to increase non-core income and to reduce costs whilst not affecting quality of provision.
What will you need?To be successful, you will need a relevant degree and teaching experience, as you will be delivering 8 hours per week. In addition, you will need experience of curriculum management and curriculum development, including the introduction and implementation of new initiatives. Working with external agencies is also essential, and developing income generating activity in education.
Ideally you will be a strong leader, setting high standards of professionalism with an open and supportive management style. You will value creativity in others and encourage others to share ownership and responsibility for service.
