About the role
Pay Details: Grade 5, SCP 8 - 12, £25,992 - £27,711 (Pro Rata), £13.47 - £14.36 p/h
Hours of Work / Weeks per year / Working Pattern : 32.5 hours per week, 39 weeks a year, Monday - Friday
Main Place of Work : Oak Field Primary School
Description: This is an exciting opportunity to work closely with pupils, staff and families to support teaching and learning across the school. You will:
- Work under the direction of the class teacher and senior leaders.
- Support pupils' learning and wellbeing, including those with additional learning needs.
- Assist with delivery of learning activities across the primary age range, including implementation of individual education and behaviour plans.
- Help create a purposeful and supportive classroom environment.
- Supervise and engage pupils during break, lunch and school visits.
- Play an active role in the life of the school and uphold its inclusive values.
The Successful Candidate Will:
- Have experience of supporting learning in a primary school setting.
- Be confident working with individuals, small groups and whole classes.
- Be caring, approachable and passionate about supporting all children to thrive.
- Have strong communication skills and be able to build positive relationships with pupils, parents and staff.
- Demonstrate a good understanding of the Curriculum for Wales and the role of digital tools in learning.
- Be reliable, flexible and committed to professional growth.
- Have the appropriate DBS Check: Enhanced & Barred Both
- Have EWS Registration
- Knowledge of safeguarding, inclusion and child development.
- ICT skills to support learning and administrative tasks.
- A commitment to continuous training and development.
