We are seeking to appoint a Receptionist and Clerical Assistant to cover a period of maternity leave, starting in September 2025. This is an excellent opportunity to join a friendly community school in a busy and varied administrative role.

The successful candidate will be based in the school reception area and will play a key part in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of front-line services, as well as supporting the wider school administratively. The role involves being the first point of contact for pupils, staff, parents, and visitors, and requires a professional, calm, and empathetic approach at all times.

The responsibilities will vary on a day-to-day basis but will focus primarily on reception duties and associated clerical tasks. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential, along with the ability to work effectively as part of a team and respond flexibly to the needs of the school.

Glan y Môr and Bryngwyn Schools form a successful federation committed to achieving high standards and positive outcomes for all pupils. While the post is based at Glan y Môr, the successful applicant will be expected to work collaboratively with colleagues across both schools.

Glan-y-Môr has shown significant improvement over time and the latest Estyn Inspection (2017) for both schools recorded that both the Current Performance and Prospect for Improvement for the school are both Excellent.
