About the role
Are you experienced in working with schools and other services regarding the health and safety of young people and staff during off-site and adventurous activities?

Join the busy Health and Safety Team and help to ensure the continued management, support and guidance is provided to those organising activities in our Schools and Youth Services.

Using your knowledge of the OEAP (Outdoor Education Advisers' Panel) policies and guidance, you will provide specialist advice and guidance on risk management and assessment in the context of educational visits including adventure activities, trips and overseas visits. Working with key officers, you will monitor the health and safety management of visits, which will include observing activities and visits, monitoring the work of Educational Visit Co-ordinators, oversight and management of the EVOLVE system and following up areas of concern.

This is an exciting opportunity that requires enthusiasm, a flexible approach and commitment. An excellent communicator, you will work in partnership with a range of services and teams and be the Council's nominated representative within the OEAP.
