Full time Essential Skills Administrator required - Grade 5

To be responsible for the administration of ES/ESOL provision throughout the County with specific responsibility for administrative functions, including reception, keyboard/computing skills, filing, and dealing with telephone enquiries.

To administer ES/ ESOL finances in line with Pembrokeshire County Council's financial regulations

To input and process financial and course-related data, including the provision of accurate and timely statistical returns

To assist exam administrator with examination entries/results onto the database and with Agored Cyrmu

To provide adult guidance and advice to students, (signposting/networking with Careers Wales and Pembrokeshire College)

To assist in the preparation and promotion of brochures and leaflets in respect of activities and services provided by Education and Community Services.

To collate, record and code individual tutors pay claims on a monthly basis

To assist with the marketing and promotion of new activities/classes as appropriate

Maintain student data and database.

To undertake any reasonable other duties as required by the Director of Education

To pay due regard to relevant health & safety legislation and maintain a safe working environment

Appropriate professional clerical/administrative/secretarial qualifications; qualification to Accounting Technician level or equivalent would be an advantage

A sound knowledge of book-keeping/accountancy/banking procedures Numeracy, accuracy and a methodical approach to work

Keyboard skills and a working knowledge of spreadsheets and other tools used for the

analysis of financial and other data

Must be able to communicate effectively with students, tutors, community representatives and external agencies

Must be able to work without supervision, use initiative and complete tasks within set deadlines

Some knowledge of Community Issues or issues relating to ESOL would be desirable

Possession of a full driving licence and access to own transport would be an advantage
