We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Lecturer in Photography to join the creative arts department at Bridgend College. This role involves planning, preparing, and delivering high-quality practical and theoretical lessons across a range of our FE programmes.
The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching all facets of photography, encompassing expertise in digital workflows (Adobe Creative Suite, digital capture), traditional analogue darkroom processes, and professional studio lighting and practice.
You'll be tasked with assessing student work, providing constructive feedback, and ensuring all curriculum content is relevant and aligned with current industry standards.
To excel in this role, you must possess a degree-level qualification (BA Hons or equivalent) in Photography or a related field, alongside significant, proven industry experience. You will need a recognised teaching qualification, such as a PGCE or equivalent or be willing to achieve one shortly after appointment. We are looking for someone who can not only manage technical instruction but also motivate and inspire diverse groups of students, fostering a creative and inclusive learning environment.
- Knowledge of delivering practical sessions, underpinned by critical and theoretical knowledge
