Ysgol Y Deri is a Special School for pupils aged between 3 and 19 years, which caters for a wide and diverse range of differently able pupils. We have state of the art facilities, and work with every child as an individual, ensuring that their educational and therapeutic needs are met, enabling them to flourish both within our school and when they leave.
About the Role
Pay Details: Teachers Main scale + Special Educational Needs allowance
Hours of Work / Weeks per year / Working Pattern: Full time
Main Place of Work: Ysgol Y Deri, Penarth Site
Temporary: Up to one year
Description:
The governing body wish to appoint caring, committed and enthusiastic class teachers for maternity covers with immediate effect. The posts will be temporary for up to one year. Whilst a background in special needs is not essential, a strong understanding of the curriculum, how it might be adapted and how it can be developed to enthuse all learners will be high on the list of requirements.
About you
You will need:
The successful candidate will have excellent classroom practice, including use of ICT, high expectations of pupil engagement and achievements and a willingness to work as part of a dedicated team that is committed to providing the very best opportunities for all of our pupils.
DBS Check Required: Enhanced
