About the Role
30 Hours / 38 Weeks

The postholder will promote high levels of wellbeing and positive behaviour with all children, promoting inclusion and independence, and ensuring their safety and access to learning at all times. They will build positive relationships, act as a role model, and encourage engagement in classroom and group activities. Support will also include helping pupils follow instructions, participate in lessons, and develop skills across areas such as literacy, numeracy, and ICT, under the direction of the teacher.

In addition, the postholder will assist teachers in preparing learning environments, managing pupil behaviour, maintaining records, and communicating relevant information to staff and parents as required. They will contribute to the wider life of the school by supporting policies on safeguarding, health and safety, and equal opportunities, as well as by attending meetings, training, and school activities. The role also includes assisting with the supervision of pupils at various times of the day and accompanying staff and pupils on educational visits, ensuring the school's ethos and aims are upheld at all times.

An Enhanced DBS & EWC registration is required for this position.
