Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays 8.30am – 3.30pm and Tuesday 8.30am – 4.30pm (1hr Professional Learning after school)

Job Role: Teaching Assistant - Support and Delivering Learning /Cover Supervisor (Level 3)

The Headteacher and Governing Body at High Cross Primary School are seeking to appoint a Level 3 Cover Supervisor to cover lessons for unplanned, and sometimes planned teacher absence. The role will also include delivering pastoral support and intervention programmes when cover for lessons is not required.

The successful candidate will be highly motivated, well-organised and ambitious. The role is an ideal opportunity for anyone wishing to gain further experience in a school environment as part of their career development. High Cross Primary is a thriving school for pupils aged 3-11 years which is situated in the area of Bassaleg, just north of Newport.

There are currently 254 pupils on roll, with there being nine classes in total, this being inclusive of a morning and afternoon nursery. At High Cross Primary, we have the highest expectations of our pupils and staff to ensure that everyone succeeds academically, socially and emotionally. We are fully committed to achieving our school motto ‘Together we grow and shine.’
