This appointment is subject to the current conditions of employment of teachers contained in the School Teachers' Pay and Conditions Document, and the Framework of Professional Standards for Teaching and Leadership for Class Teachers and Post Threshold Teachers.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding and a record that shows impact with the following points. They will need to demonstrate the following (roughly in order):

  • Be able to contribute to self-evaluation and improvement planning
  • Be innovative and make contributions to the development of the team, including being willing to lead within an area of learning.
  • Be willing to provide children with extra-curricular opportunities
  • Be interested in education and have a desire to keep on learning and developing
  • Have a strong understanding of AfL
  • Be an excellent classroom practitioner
