Security Officer

Salary: £24,707 - £25,637

Merthyr Tydfil College are looking to recruit a Security Officer to join its Estates and Facilities team. The main purpose of the post is to ensure a safe, secure, welcoming environment for staff, students and visitors by providing a visible security presence on campus, and provide a duty of care to our learners and to act positively as a deterrent to inappropriate and undesirable behaviour.

Candidates must have experience working in a security role, ideally in a corporate/business type environment.

Working pattern is Monday through to Friday core business hours, with 1-week in 5 out-of-hours on-call, and the occasional requirement to work 'out of hours' with advance notice.

A DBS check is a requirement of this post.
