Dymuna'r Llywodraethwyr benodi Pennaeth brwdfrydig ac ysbrydoledig sydd â'r cymhelliant a'r profiad i arwain Ysgol Gyfun Gymraeg Bro Myrddin yn hyderus i'r bennod nesaf yn ei hanes. Fel ysgol fro, mae'r ysgol yn cynnig addysg gynhwysol sy'n ceisio ateb anghenion yr unigolyn mewn awyrgylch cefnogol a hollol Gymreig. Bydd rôl y Pennaeth yn hollbwysig er mwyn i'r ysgol barhau i gynnig cyfleoedd eang a deilliannau dysgu rhagorol i bob aelod o gymuned yr ysgol.

Rydym yn chwilio am unigolyn gweithgar sy'n arweinydd llwyddiannus ym maes addysg. Disgwylir i'r unigolyn gynnal safonau addysgol presennol yr ysgol a chynnig gweledigaeth glir i deulu'r ysgol fedru parhau i ddatblygu. Fel un o ysgolion arloesi Cwricwlwm i Gymru, mae Ysgol Gyfun Gymraeg Bro Myrddin yn gyfarwydd ag arwain datblygiadau mewn addysg cyfrwng Cymraeg. Dymuna'r llywodraethwyr benodi Pennaeth fydd yn arwain yr ysgol i fedru adeiladu ar ei llwyddiant ac ymateb yn ddeinamig i ddatblygiadau addysgol yng Nghymru.

Wedi'i lleoli ar gyrion Caerfyrddin, ers ei sefydlu ym 1978 mae Ysgol Gyfun Gymraeg Bro Myrddin wedi dod i chwarae rhan bwysig ym mywyd y gymuned drefol a gwledig sy'n ei hamgylchynu. Mae dalgylch yr ysgol yn gartref i sefydliadau megis Canolfan S4C yr Egin, Prifysgol Cymru y Drindod Dewi Sant, y Coleg Cymraeg Cenedlaethol a Theatr Cymru, ac yn elwa o fod â mynediad hwylus at draffordd yr M4 i'r dwyrain, ac ardaloedd gorllewin Sir Gaerfyrddin, de Ceredigion a Phenfro. O fewn y gymuned hon, bydd yr ymgeisydd llwyddiannus yn cael cyfle i arwain tîm o staff ymroddedig i sicrhau profiadau cyfoethog i bob dysgwr.

Mae'r Llywodraethwyr wedi ymrwymo i benodi Pennaeth sy'n:
  • arweinydd â phrofiad o ddarparu addysg gynhwysol sy'n sicrhau'r cynnydd gorau i ddisgyblion
  • angerddol dros Addysg Gymraeg gan gynnal a datblygu ymhellach ethos Gymraeg a Chymreig yr ysgol
  • meddu ar y weledigaeth, y creadigrwydd a'r gallu i arloesi a gwneud y gorau o bob cyfle wrth arwain yr ysgol lwyddiannus hon
  • gallu adeiladu ar y cryfderau cyfredol a datblygu potensial yr holl ddysgwyr a'r staff
  • ymrwymedig i gynnal safonau uchel o ran cyflawniad y cwricwlwm
  • gallu ysbrydoli, ysgogi ac ennyn brwdfrydedd pobl ifanc a staff
  • gyfathrebydd rhagorol sy'n gallu ymgysylltu'n effeithiol â holl gymuned yr ysgol gan gynnwys plant, rhieni, staff a llywodraethwyr trwy gyfrwng y Gymraeg a'r Saesneg, ar lafar ac yn ysgrifenedig.
