Ysgol Gymunedol penparc is recruiting a Teaching Assistant - Level 2 (Behaviour/Guidance/Support) to join our team from 2/2/2026 until 17/7/2026. This is a rewarding opportunity to support pupils both in and beyond the classroom.

As a Level 2 Teaching Assistant, you will:
  • Provide tailored support for pupils, including those with special educational needs, ensuring their safety and access to learning.
  • Use specialist skills and experience to deliver outreach support and assist with Individual Education and Behaviour Plans.
  • Promote inclusion, independence, and positive behaviour.
  • Support learning activities, monitor pupil progress, and provide feedback to teachers.
  • Help create a purposeful and supportive learning environment.
  • Build strong relationships with pupils, staff, and families, and contribute to wider school life including trips and activities.

We are looking for someone who:
  • Has experience working with or caring for children of relevant age.
  • Holds NVQ Level 3 for Teaching Assistants or equivalent qualifications/experience.
  • Has good literacy and numeracy skills and is confident using ICT to support learning.
  • Understands child development, learning strategies, and relevant policies.
  • Is flexible, proactive, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Has first aid training or is willing to undertake it.
