We're looking for an energetic, compassionate and organised HLTA to join our team and play a key role in helping PLC pupils make confident, successful steps back into their mainstream schools. If you enjoy building strong relationships, thinking on your feet, and turning small wins into big milestones, this could be your next move.

About the Role
You'll work closely with pupils, families and school staff across Pembrokeshire to support smooth reintegration pathways. Your days will be full of variety-supporting pupils in PLC, accompanying them into mainstream settings, coordinating transition plans, and offering calm, steady guidance throughout the process.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Supporting pupils emotionally, socially, and academically as they prepare for their return to mainstream education
  • Working alongside PLC teachers, LSA's and partner schools to put personalised reintegration plans into action
  • Providing in-class support during reintegration sessions within mainstream schools
  • Acting as a key link for pupils, families and staff, ensuring communication is clear, timely and focused
  • Contributing to behaviour, wellbeing and learning strategies that help pupils thrive
  • Using your HLTA expertise to deliver high-quality learning support both at the PLC and off-site
What We're Looking For
  • HLTA status (or working towards it)
  • A calm, encouraging presence and a genuine passion for helping young people succeed
  • Experience supporting pupils with additional learning or behavioural needs
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Confidence working across multiple school environments
  • A positive mindset, a good sense of humour, and a willingness to embrace the beautiful unpredictability of each day
Why Join Us?
At Pembrokeshire Learning Centre, no two days are the same-but every day makes a difference. You'll be part of a warm, committed team making real impact across our community, with plenty of opportunities to develop your skills and shape the reintegration support we offer.

Please refer to the job description above for more details on this vacancy and the person specification.
