Minera Church in Wales VA School is seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Acting Assistant Headteacher to join our team on a secondment basis. This is an exciting opportunity for someone wishing to develop their leadership experience and contribute to the continued improvement of our school.
Working closely with the Headteacher, you will help lead a dedicated staff team and provide professional leadership to secure high‑quality education for all pupils.
The successful candidate will:
• Demonstrate strong, dynamic leadership.
• Build on the strengths of our school in collaboration with staff, pupils, and parents.
• Model and inspire excellent classroom practice-particularly within a Year 4, 5 and 6 class-while maintaining a passion for teaching and learning.
• Motivate, inspire, and engage pupils and staff across the school community.
• Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, nurturing positive relationships with all stakeholders.
• Show a strong commitment to wellbeing and pupil voice.
• Maintain and strengthen links across the community, promoting best practice and positive relationships.
• Create an environment that ensures positive behaviour, respect, tolerance, and diversity, and promotes high standards of achievement.
• Be committed to a nurturing approach that supports all pupils and their families.
