Ysgol Morgan Llwyd require a teacher of English to start on the 1st of September, 2026. This is a full time, permanent position. The successful candidate will teach English to years 7-11 with the possibility of contributing to the teaching of A Level English Literature. The ability to speak Welsh is desirable, but not essential.

Ysgol uwchradd gyfrwng Cymraeg yw Ysgol Morgan Llwyd wedi'i lleoli yn ninas Wrecsam ac sy'n gwasanaethu dalgylch eang Sir Wrecsam. Fe'i hagorwyd yn 1964 gyda chriw bach o ddisgyblion, ac ers hynny, mae'r ysgol wedi mynd o nerth i nerth gan symud i safle newydd yn y flwyddyn 2000. Erbyn hyn mae 851 o ddisgyblion ar ein cofrestr ac 83 yn y chweched dosbarth. Daw ein disgyblion o'r ddinas ei hun, y pentrefi cyfagos ac o ardal wledig Dyffryn Ceiriog. Addysgir y pwnc i bob disgybl yng Nghyfnod Allweddol 3 a 4 a bydd pob disgybl yn gadael yr ysgol gyda chymhwyster TGAU yn y pwnc. Ysgol Morgan Llwyd is a Welsh medium secondary school located in the city of Wrexham that serves a wide catchment area in Wrexham. The school opened its doors in 1964 with a small group of pupils, and since then, it has gone from strength to strength. In the year 2000, the school moved to a new location. We now have 763 pupils on roll and 90 attending our sixth form. Our pupils come from the city itself, the neighbouring villages and from rural areas in the Ceiriog Valley. Ysgol Morgan Llwyd is the only Welsh medium secondary school in the county and one of only two with a Sixth Form. We take pride in our tradition of our pupils' academic success as well as their successes in the school's extracurricular life. Our vision is to ensure that Ysgol Morgan Llwyd is a caring school that develops high-achieving and capable learners, in an environment where everybody is happy, safe, and eager to learn.

Information about the English Department The English Department is a dynamic and successful department. The subject is taught to all pupils in Key Stages 3 and 4 and every student leaves school with a GCSE qualification in the subject. The subject is popular among sixth form pupils and the results of the department are consistently good. The department has six members and is lead by Ms Catherine Rogers. In terms of facilities, the department has 6 spacious teaching rooms, storerooms, and an office. The department also has specific ICT resources and access to whole school resources.
