HEADTEACHER POST x 2 PENCOEDTRE HIGH SCHOOL, BARRY WHITMORE HIGH SCHOOL, BARRY

Pencoedtre High School.
About us
The Governing Bodies wish to appoint a Headteacher for each of the above two schools.

The two co-educational schools opened in September 2018 and have been working collaboratively since that date, transforming education for pupils in the Barry area. The schools recently moved to new purpose-built premises.

The extremely successful transition has been driven by an Executive Headteacher, but Governors have now decided that the next stage of this project is to appoint a new Headteacher for each of the schools.

About the Role
Salary range: 33-39* £94,245-£108,035 (based on 21/22 scales)

Start date: SEPTEMBER 2023 (ideally with some informal handover arrangements leading up to this date)

These are excellent opportunities for outstanding, dynamic, inspirational leaders to build on the strong foundations established, and to ensure that their school is the first choice for pupils in the respective catchment area.

The roles are demanding and will require individuals who are motivated and committed to achieving the highest levels of education provision in a caring and nurturing environment. The schools are engaged in a highly successful collaboration which includes joint working between the staff and the governing bodies, all of whom are extremely supportive of this project.

• have excellent interpersonal and communication skills to develop strong relationships with all stakeholders
• have initiative, imagination, creativity, and a positive approach
