The Role

Fixed term contract until 31/03/2027 - 27.5 hours per week - 39 weeks

We are looking to appoint a caring, enthusiastic Level 2 Teaching Assistant to support teaching and learning throughout the school. This role involves a combination of targeted 1:1 support for an individual pupil alongside working with small groups and whole-class settings under the direction of the class teacher.

Key Responsibilities
• Provide personalised 1:1 support to a designated pupil, helping them access learning and develop confidence and independence
• To work in a junior class
• Support individuals and small groups of pupils with learning activities
• Assist teachers in creating a positive, stimulating, and well-organised learning environment
• Contribute to planning, assessment, and record‑keeping as required
• Adapt activities and strategies to meet the needs of pupils with additional learning needs
• Help promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing
• Work collaboratively with teaching staff, ALNCo, support staff, and external professionals
• Contribute to the wider life of the school and uphold the school's values and ethos

We Are Looking For Someone Who:
• Holds a Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)
• Has experience working with children, including those with additional or individual needs
• Shows empathy, patience, and a calm, supportive approach
• Demonstrates strong communication and teamwork skills
• Is able to follow guidance while using initiative when needed
• Is committed to promoting inclusion and supporting children's wellbeing
