The Governing Body is looking to appoint an enthusiastic, dependable, self-driven, hardworking, and conscientious individual to play a vital role in maintaining our school grounds, ensuring a welcoming and safe environment for the entire school community.
The successful candidate will:
Previous experience would be beneficial, but training will be provided.
The successful candidate will be required to act as a key holder.
The hours of work are approximately Monday to Friday 7:00am-8:00am and 2 hours in and evening. (16.5 hours a week)

Therefore, an enhanced DBS (Disclosure Barring Service) check is required for successful applicants. The successful candidate will:
- Be expected to undertake general caretaking duties, maintaining high standards to support children's learning and where appropriate, carry out repairs and maintenance of the school and the grounds.
- Possess a range of general maintenance skills (carpentry, plumbing, painting would be an advantage).
- Be able to work effectively as part of a team that looks after the health and safety of staff, pupils and visitors as well as the security of the whole site. • To liaise and communicate effectively with a range of contractors and building services • Have a current, full driving licence.
- Be able to work within a dynamic and challenging environment.
- Have an ability to work on their own initiative in recognising jobs that require attention and prioritise their daily workload.
- Have COSHH awareness.
- Have physical fitness to undertake some heavy lifting, moving and handling including general portage.
- Have excellent communication skills.
- Be cheerful and enjoy working with children, parents and staff.
- Have a firm understanding of, and compliance with, safeguarding requirements.
- Have a willingness to participate in training and development.
- Take pride in helping to maintain and develop our school grounds and outdoor learning provision.
- Be responsible for the oversight of the school cleaners and additional caretaking staff.
