Carmarthenshire County Council is looking for a dedicated and motivated professional to join our team as a Lead School Support Finance Coordinator.

In this vital position, you will play a key role in upholding our commitment to supporting schools by monitoring & developing the existing provision for financial support, implementing change and managing a small team. Your work will enable the service to expand across more schools and to ensure they are better placed to make financial decisions.

What You'll Be Responsible For:
  • Managing the team of school finance support officers
  • Developing and expanding existing provision, both in terms of the service and number of schools
  • Reporting to and working closely with the Education Accountancy Team.
  • Working closely with schools
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant policies, standards, and legislation, contributing to continuous service improvement.

We need a motivated and dedicated person who is: -
  • A committed professional with excellent organisational and communication skills.
  • Experienced in managing a team.
  • Experienced working with financial systems, spreadsheets, budget setting & monitoring
  • Knowledge of education finance policies,
  • A good team player who values fairness, respect, and collaboration.
