About the RoleAn exciting opportunity has arisen for an inspirational class teacher, with ALN experience to join our dedicated team as the school ALNCo, here at Madras V.A. Primary School.
We are looking for an excellent class teacher to fulfil the role of ALNCo. The role is full-time, with 0.8 teaching commitment. The class will be a mixed year 1 and 2 class.
Successful applicants will:
• have previous experience and skills gained by working with ALN children in a primary school
• Have a working knowledge of ALNET Act 2018 and the Code 2021
• be flexible and committed to use their skills to meet the needs of the range of pupils in the school
• have a willingness to learn more and pass on your knowledge to others
• be an enthusiastic, hardworking professional who can motivate and inspire children
• be punctual, reliable and focused.
• have high expectations of themselves and others and be committed to maintaining high standards in teaching and learning
• demonstrate drive, be open to learning new skills and be committed to personal development
• be flexible which is essential, given our small staff team, taking on different duties across the school to ensure its smooth running.
• be an excellent team player and role model and be able to work collaboratively with all school staff.
• display a 'can do' attitude and bring positivity to the school and team
• have a commitment to safeguarding our pupils and staff
• have good communication skills in order to be able to effectively communicate with pupils, parents, families and other professionals
